  3. What is high cholesterol? To build healthy cells, our body always needs cholesterol. It has now been shown that high cholesterol levels pose a high risk of heart disease. The high cholesterol level in your blood vessels can develop fatty deposits. Cholesterol is nothing more than a waxy, fat-like substance produced naturally by your liver. Cholesterol is vital to the creation of cell membranes, certain hormones, and vitamin D. These deposits are growing in this process, making it hard for sufficient blood to flow through your arteries. Cholesterol is water-insoluble, so it can not travel by itself through your blood. Your liver generates lipoproteins to assist in transporting cholesterol. Lipoproteins are fat and protein particles.

  4. What are the causes of high cholesterol? • Eating too many high-cholesterol foods, saturated fats, and trans fats may increase your cholesterol risk. Other variables in lifestyle may also lead to high cholesterol. These variables include smoking and lack of exercise. • Your genetics may also influence your likelihood of high cholesterol development. Genes are transmitted to kids from parents. Certain genes instruct your body on how to process cholesterol and fats. If you have high cholesterol in your parents, you’re also at greater danger. • Cholesterol is carried through your blood, linked to proteins. This combination of protein-cholesterol is called lipoprotein. They are commonly referred to as LDL low-density lipoprotein or “bad” cholesterol. Because cholesterol particles are transported throughout your body, it is observed that LDL cholesterol builds up in your artery walls, making them hard and narrow.
