SPILL RESPONSERESPUESTA A UN DERRAME REPORTING PROCEDURES • Si usted es testigo de un escape de quimico/aceite al aire, agua o suelo • Cualquier empleado (de Valmont/Empire) • Inmediatamente notifique el supervisor de su turno • Notifiqueles a todos los empleados cerca del escape • El supervisor de turno • Inmediatamente llame al coordinador de emergencias (vea la proxima hoja para una lista del personal calificado) • Upon witnessing a chemical/oil release to air, water or ground • Employee (any Valmont/Empire employee) • Immediately notify their shift supervisor • Notify any nearby employees of the release • Shift Supervisor • Immediately call the Emergency Coordinator (see next slide for listing of qualified personnel)

OUTDOOR MANUFACTURINGFabricar Fuera del Edificio • Limitar la duracion que el material este guardado al aire libre • Rechinar o pulir el producto terminado bajo techo donde y cuando sea posible • Si tiene que rechinar/pulir al aire libre, hay que hacerlo en una superficie como la de concreto que se puede limpiar facilmente • Si tiene que hacerlo en grava, arena, etc. deben de usar un manteado protector. • Limit length of time material is stored outdoors • Conduct grinding/buffing of finished product under roof where/when possible • If grinding/buffing must be done outside it should be done on a surface, such as concrete, that can easily be cleaned • If it must be done on gravel, sand, etc, a drop cloth should be used

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCEMantenimiento Preventivo • Inspeccionar por fugas o condiciones por los cuales pueden ocurrir descargas • Esto incluiria pero no estara limitado a los montacargas y los traileres de sosten • Monitoreando periodicamente la acumulacion de las aguas de tormentas en el exterior del dique que contiene acido • Examinando por el mantenimiento los niveles de pH • Si neutral el pozo puede ser derramado al nivel, si no hay mas senales de contaminacion de aguas de tormentas. • Inspect for leaks or conditions which could lead to discharges • This would include, but not limited to, the fork trucks and spotting trailer • Periodic monitoring of storm water buildup in the exterior bulk acid containment dike • Testing by maintenance for pH levels • If neutral, pit can be discharged to grade if there are no other signs of storm water contamination
