Pilot provision spec • 2 locations: South Sefton and Southport area • Specialist or equivalent to ‘Dentist with enhanced skills’ • 600 cases total • 6 month / 6 month contracts (to fit around procurement rules) • Provision of care with LA or LA/sedation • Evaluation via NIHR research programme • Linked to triage which will be undertaken by local consultants

  4. Assessment of providers • Written submission in response to service spec. • Evidence of training • Portfolio of evidence of clinical training • Face to face discussion with potential providers • Practice inspection (SAAD) • QA by local consultant oral surgeon
