  3. STANDARDS Reading 3.9: Analyze the philosophical arguments presented in literary works.

  4. PREPARING TO READ Since Sindbad the Sailor is an easier read, you’ll be reading it in groups of your choosing (3-4 members per group). As a group, you’ll complete a chart that documents the different conflicts and complications that you come across and analyzing what the worksheet asks you to. Pause to discuss/document each conflict. Also, look for (and pause to discuss) Sindbad’s character and the ethics (morals) that he upholds. Enjoy!
