Start the design: Insert text ( it will size itself to the poster dimensions) Insert logos ( You will have to determine how big you want them Insert Pictures/Tables/Figures ( size to your desires) This is the time to play around with the format/setup/colors - brainstorm
Things to be aware of • Put the poster on a screen, step back and get a feel for the colors, fonts, and “white space.” (Get comments from others!” • Try to get the poster done in advance. That means??? • Take to DECS with time to spare to let the poster dry. • If laminating, I suggest letting it sit overnight.
Be Aware continued • Poster boards should be 30 X 40, so poster with or without lamination should not be larger than 30 X 40 • Use spray glue to attach poster to board. • Teamwork is important here, so enlist others to help center and attach poster to board.
