  1. The Perfect Way to Enjoy Christmas in Portland During the Christmas season, there are many fun things to do in the city of Roses. The fun things include watching festive holiday light display, attending community events and listening to all types of music-related to Christmas. Further, there is an attitude of Portland to keep Portland weird because of which you can find plenty of whacky and unusual activities beyond traditional holiday cheer.

  2. Each Christmas season in Portland, the annual tree lighting ceremony kicks-off. The family-friendly event that includes the lighting of a 75-foot Christmas tree as well as holiday sing-along takes place the day after Thanksgiving each year at Portland's Courthouse Square. The Douglas fir tree is decorated with more than 14000 colorful lights and stands tall until the end of the holiday season.

  3. Zoo Lights at Oregon : Zoo During the time of holiday season, the Oregon zoo becomes a Christmas wonderland with decorations and more than a million colorful lights. At the time of scheduled evening families can stroll the zoo paths and see animal themed display of light and motion. One can also enjoy a chance of having hot chocolate as well as enjoy live music and festive performance.

Visitors can enjoy outdoor lighting displays and indoor holiday music concerts, puppet shows, carolers, etc. The biggest light show is held in the Portland International raceway during every Christmas season.
