  1. HouseCalls Home Care Being Home Never Felt Better

  2. CDPAP The CDPAP, otherwise known as the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program, is a New York State Medicaid program designed to allow consumers to recruit, hire, and oversee their home care workers. One of the biggest highlights of the CDPAP program is that consumers in the program may employ family members, friends, and other trusted individuals to administer the care being given to them.

  3. How Does CDPAP Work? Once your eligibility is determined as well as the hours of services needed, the next step will be to find a Personal Assistant (PA). The PA(s) can almost be anyone the consumer wants: A neighbor, friend, aide or even a family member. The PA does not have to be HHA Certified. A parent, Spouse, or designated representative cannot be a PA. It’s very important that a consumer is comfortable with the individuals and that they can be trained to provide the self-directed care necessary.

  4. WHO CAN BE HIRED AS THE CDPAP AIDE? • Be at least 18 years of age. • Be legally eligible to work in the United States and have a valid Social Security number. • Be interviewed and hired by House Calls Home Care Consumer. • Provide all necessary information to House Calls Home Care to facilitate enrollment in the payroll and insurance systems. • Complete all required documents, in the manner prescribed by House Calls Home Care, with the assistance and direction of the Consumer. • Complete an annual health assessment including all locally required laboratory tests.

  5. How much does Cdpap pay an hour? What are the requirements for Cdpap? How do I get 24 hour home care? How much does 24hr Homecare pay? CDPAP recipients must be able to make informed choices regarding their health management or have a legal guardian or designated relative/adult who is able and willing to make those choices. Receiving 24 hour home care under CDPAP guidelines requires a physician’s note as well as a visit from a Medicaid nurse to evaluate the recipient’s needs, which determines how many hours of service a caregiver can be compensated for. 24 hour home care can pay between $150 to $350 dollars per day. CDPAP hourly pay ranges from around $11.12/hour for elder care assistants to around $15.22/hour for caretakers. FAQ
