  8. The concessionary levy rate is S$120 instead of the normal S$265. During the Singapore Budget 2015, the Singapore government further reduces this concessionary levy rate down to S$60. This is after consideration that hiring a maid in Singapore has become a necessity rather than a luxury choice for many households in order to take care of any dependable family members staying in the same house.
