  7. According to the text book • “since it is clearly impossible to avoid all human habitation in earthquake-prone areas, certain steps must be take…to adjust to the earthquake hazard.” • “Close to 150 million people in 39 US states live in seismically active areas.”

What can I do? • If you live in a seismically active area, a home safety check could increase the probability that you and your property survive a large earthquake. • Most importantly plan exactly what you and your family should do in the event of an earthquake. • And if you live in any of the houses I posted MOVE!!!
