  4. NUMBERS

  5. TEMPO – CLOCK USE • LOOK & SEE *Every play is an audible • QB sets defense to look for numbers-voids • Play is called according to situational game plan. • used to create advantage, rather than avoid disaster. • BUNCH • Loose-bunch, 2 yards off line of scrimmage or on sideline. • GO-GO • No huddle, team is in fast break mode to speed up game. • Used after first down gained / offense has developed rhythm. • GATOR • No huddle, shotgun, QB cues center by raising leg.

  6. TEMPO – CLOCK USE • DALLAS (Double cadence) • Use full attack mode, then go-go mode! • Used to force defense to adjust alignment. • 2-MIN • No huddle, automatic go-go or gun-gun (save clock). • MULE TRAIN • No huddle, QB will use all of play clock, “mule-mule”. • Used to run clock.

  8. COMMUNICATION“Saying nothing means something.” • Basis to offense! • The most important factor about the no huddle offense is effective communication. • We will use verbal cues along with hand signals to communicate everything we would do in a huddle. • To start a series - use a “bunch” type huddle to communicate the first play and then take the field and go.

  9. PLAY CALLING PROCEDURE1-2-3 TRIANGLE THINKING STEP 1 • Signal / call personnel grouping • Reverse defensive logic / get outside of your comfort zone STEP 2 • Personnel group determines offensive sets • Offensive set determines offensive thinking / pass – run priority  STEP 3 • Pass – Run priority determines what to look for in defense • Defense determines pass – run call / 1-2-3 triangle thinking STEP 4 • Apply offensive principals with player match ups • *Keep yourself smart and keep yourself simple STEP 5 • Stay within triangle / Best match up wins • No magic play

  10. CONTINGENCY PLANS • Core Offense (look & see / fast break / go-go) • Mule offense (4 min. left with lead) • Quad offense (4 plays left only) • 2 minute offense (half and game) • 1 yard line: Critical (in & out) • 20 yard line: run & pass (Red & Black) • +35 yard line: 4 down zone 2-point plays (offense and gate-O) • -35 to +35 yard line: free zone • Punting game • Field goal game • Kick-off and return game • 3rd down offense: 1-3 (short), 4-6 (med.) • 7-10 (long), 12+ (3rdXL), 2nd & 20+ • Blitz package: interior & perimeter • Nickel-dime package: run & pass
