  1. In This Week’s “The EDGE” • A FRESH Look at Houston Housing • Houston Market Movements • May 5 Election Recap • Master the Core Concepts for Your Business “The Edge” is a weekly tool for managers to use to inform their agents and stay current and up-to-date with important real estate industry issues. Brought to you by the HAR Communications Department.

  2. A FRESH Look at Houston Housing • The Houston real estate market staged another mixed performance in April. • Here is HAR’s latest First Real Estate Snapshot of Houston (FRESH) Report, showing the latest trends across the greater Houston housing market as of April 30, 2018. • Our complete MLS housing report for April 2018 will be distributed this Wednesday, May 9. As always, HAR will provide you with updated coverage in The EDGE.

  3. Houston Market Movements As happened last spring, the home-purchasing season will be competitive this year. Demand is still strong, especially in light of rising mortgage rates. Savvy consumers will want to get into a home before rates go up again. Amidst an environment of low inventory, buyers need to remain watchful of new listings and make their offers quickly. In the Houston region, for the week ending April 29: • New Listings decreased 4.7% to 3,166 • Pending Sales increased 18.6% to 2,470 • Closed Sales decreased 21.2% to 2,045
