  1. OnTrackCA Unlocking the potential of data for educators. Envisioned by Elk Grove Unified School District Powered by School Loop 5.0

Welcome Greg Lindner, Director of Technology Services at Elk Grove Unified School District had a vision that all schools in California could share a system to improve graduation rates and decrease dropouts. It had to make effective use of data. It had to be easy to use. And it had to be free. With partners School Loop and CSIS, and with funding from an ARRA EETT Competitive grant, that dream is about to become a reality.

  3. What it does OnTrackCA aligns objectives, data, strategy and action, helping schools solve hard problems. OnTrackCAlaunches easily: Each week, educators get an email noting who needs support, strategies to consider, and ways to help. OnTrackCA saves time, makes systems more effective, and ensures that the right students get the right supports at the right time.

  4. How it works People assign objectives, establish indicators to measure progress, and align support strategies to guide intervention. Educators use this information to intervene. Intervention generates results, redirecting objectives in a cycle of continuous improvement.

About Indicators Objective: Improve Graduation Rate 87% • Indicators are research-based measures that correlate to an objective. • Indicators are objectives too, and to create them, consider how people will use the data. • In OnTrackCA, indicators show the % of students on track on the measure. • You can choose indicators from shared library

  13. About Interventions • Intervention are strategies to help improve performance on an indicator • You can publish strategies in detail and add workflow, referrals for instance. • You can choose strategies from a shared library, and share yours as well • You can track and relate usage of strategies to progress on indicators

Join Pilot Program • OnTrackCA will be available for 10 pilot districts next school year, expanding to serve all districts in California over the next three years. • These 10 pilot districts will receive a grant covering the cost of data integration (service provided by CSIS). • Learn more: • Visit www.ontrackca.k12.ca.us and complete the pilot application • Attend presentation at CETPA in Long Beach on November 9 at 1pm • Contact Greg Lindner or Mark Gross
