This initiative aims to institutionalize good governance across the Philippines' 7,000+ islands by emphasizing the importance of measurement and performance evaluation. By providing clear metrics and pathways for achieving excellence in local governance, we strive to address societal issues like poverty. Key components include transparency, accountability, and participation, facilitated through indicator-based and web-based systems. Our focus spans across administrative, social, economic, and environmental governance, aiming to foster sustainable development at every level.

Measurement and Performance “Transparency and good governance must be measured. By providing metrics and explaining the clear paths to achieve excellence in local governance, we hope to provide a systemic solution to poverty and other societal ills and institutionalize good governance in each nook and cranny of our 7,000-plus islands.” - DILG Sec. Jesse M. Robredo
