  1. Born That We May Have Life

  2. Profession 22 What do people get for all the toil and anxious striving with which they labor under the sun? 23 All their days their work is grief and pain; even at night their minds do not rest. This too is meaningless. - Ecclesiastes 2:22-23 Life is not all about work, work is a part of our life.

  3. Possessions As goods increase, so do those who consume them.
And what benefit are they to the owners except to feast their eyes on them? The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether they eat little or much, but as for the rich, their abundance
permits them no sleep. - Ecclesiates:5:11-12 Life is not all about Possessions, Possessions are just resources for our life.

  4. People And I declared that the dead,
who had already died, are happier than the living, who are still alive. But better than both is the one who has never been born,
who has not seen the evil that is done under the sun. And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. - Ecclesiastes: 4: 2-4 Life is not only all about people, people add flavor into our life.

  5. Pleasure 2 I said to myself, “Come now, I will test you with pleasure to find out what is good.” But that also proved to be meaningless. 2 “Laughter,” I said, “is madness. And what does pleasure accomplish?” 3 I tried cheering myself with wine, and embracing folly—my mind still guiding me with wisdom. I wanted to see what was good for people to do under the heavens during the few days of their lives. - Ecclesiastes : 2: 1-3 Life is not all about Pleasure, Pleasure has to be found in all that we do in life.

  6. “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” - John 10:10 But he lays a condition  I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. - John 10:9

  7. At the Jesus gate what is required is “Total Surrender”. Of our Will’s “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the willofmyFather who is in heaven. - Matthew 7:21 Of our Desires Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” - - Matthew 4:4

  8. Of our Wisdom 18 Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”[a]; 20 and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” - 1Cor 3:18-20

  9. The Cross-was Total Surrender. 41 He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, 42 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” 43 An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. - Luke 22:41-42 45 From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. 46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli,[c] lemasabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”). - Matthew 27: 45-46

  10. “God is ready to assume full responsibility for the life wholly yielded to Him.” - Andrew Murray. "God controls all that happens in His world, every meal, every pleasure, every possession, every bit of sun, every night’s sleep, every moment of health and safety, everything that sustains and enriches life, is a divine gift. And how abundant these gifts are! -- J.I Packer, Knowing God.

  11. This abundant life comprise of. His Leadership over our lives 3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. - John 10:3 His Protection over our lives 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” - John 10:4-5

  12. His Provision over our lives They will come in and go out, and find pasture. - John 10:9 Many people in the Bible enjoyed a long and abundant life…. Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people. - Gen 25:8

  13. Then he breathed his last and died and was gathered to his people, old and full of years. And his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.-Gen 35:29 [ The Levites ] When David was old and full of years, he made his son Solomon king over Israel - 1 Chronicles 23:1 And so Job died, an old man and full of years. - Job 42:17

  14. Once we were driven away from the Tree Of Life 22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” 23 So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side[e] of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life. - Gen 3:22-24 But now through Jesus we have the right for the Tree of Life. 14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. - Rev 22:14
