  2. About us • Uptown International School (UIS) is an international school serving students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12 in mirdif area, Dubai City, UAE. It is a private institution managed by Taaleem - one of the biggest education providers in the Middle East.  • Uptown International School is a fully authorized IB World School, certified to offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), and the Career-related Programme (CP) for students from Pre-KG to Grade 12. • The Knowledge and Human Resources Authority (KHDA) is an educational quality assurance authority in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In Dubai, they are responsible for the growth, direction, and quality of private education and learning. Throughout the years, they have consistently rated the school as " exemplary“. • Our goal is to support students through high-quality education, enabling them to be as independent as possible and to equip them with the skills to be successful, well-rounded individuals.

INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL • Uptown International School is owned and managed by the Taaleem Group which operates Early Learning Centres, two UK curriculum and three IB curriculum schools in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi (with a further associated branch having opened in September 2020). Located towards the Sharjah border in Midriff, Uptown was among the first IB curriculum schools to open in Dubai. • Uptown International School has always been a strong supporter of the Geneva-based International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and its Programmes.  Set up originally in the 1950's to educate the children of international staff working at the United Nations, the IBO programmers' focus has always been on the core elements that would ensure a quality, transferable education for internationally-minded families.
