The District Assistance and Intervention Team (DAIT) Initiative serves as a vital resource in enhancing educational improvement within participating districts. Premise • The district is the nexus for educational improvement. • A DAIT team of county office education or other organizational leaders provide targeted technical assistance and support to Program Improvement districts in Corrective Action (Year 3). • Currently DAIT is a pilot program with volunteer districts.
Process • District Self-examination • Student achievement data • CDE tools (DAS, APS, LRE, ELSSA) • Comprehensive Needs Assessment • 3-5 leverage points/priorities • Action Plan for each leverage point • Implementation and monitoring for educational improvement
