  2. Support staff providing industries have grown 265% by 2011 compared to that of 2008 • Housekeeping staff, security staff, drivers . . The range of staff provided by these firms are diverse • In most cases the background and reliability of such staff is taken for granted

More than 75% of the corporate crimes occur from within the organization • 82.3% of the organizations avail services from third party service providers as of November 2010 • Only 14.1% of third party support staff providing companies have completed employee background screening in India • Crime rates committed by support staff in the corporate world have increased 11% as of January 2011

Crime against female employees have increased more than any year in 2010 according to The Times of India • Among this 35% of crimes are committed by cab drivers & 6% by security staff • Corporate espionage and internal security is a prime concern for Nasscom companies • And third party employees are identified as the weakest link

Ensure a copy of documents regarding the employees are archived • Make sure the hired support staff have their background verified and their criminal background check cleared • Make sure they are supervised and are ordered to report to a staff within the organization • Get your organization to be authorized to take required action against third party employees in case of any incident
