Mudlog data content • Approximately 175 types of information • Gas & Hydrocarbon Data • hydrocarbon shows; staining, fluorescence, cut • total gas, gas chromatograph analysis (component concentrations), gas ratios • H2S & CO2 • Mud Data • composition, volume, • temp, resistivity, mud wt (in/out) • Drilling & Operation Data • hole depth, ROP • bit info: bit trips, type, no.,WOB, RPM • drilling parameter changes, drilling rate exponent • pump pressure, mud rate, mud pump stroke counts • coring points, DST, LOT • MWD / LWD • Cuttings & Lithologic Data • lith description rock type, color, texture etc., visual porosity • interpreted log and lithology percentage log

  9. Project Status • Mudlog extensions approved by Technical Committee • WITSML release 1.3 to incorporate mudlog extensions • Expected release date – 31 Jan 2005 • Evaluate use of mudlog object for other purposes such as Geological Report. • First phase pilot started by ExxonMobil

  12. Use of Mudlog object in GEO Start Wizard Connect to Server Select Well/Wellbore/Data to load Select curves to load Map lithology names Finish! The mudlog is created by loading log and mudlog objects directly from a remote WITSML server.
