Proper Procedures for Turning in Small Arms Weapon Receivers

When turning in small arms weapon receivers, do not use the Whole Weapon National Stock Number (NSN). Instead, please utilize the correct National Stock Number for the specific receiver type. If the weapon lacks a legible weapon serial number (WSN), a new number must be assigned by the Logistics Support Activity (LOGSA) prior to submission for disposal. For assistance, contact LOGSA at Cortney.p.hoffman.civ@mail.mil. For ROTC weapon turn-ins, reach out to the Logistics Manager at TACOM LCMC, Arthur M. Jankowski, at arthur.m.jankowski.civ@mail.mil.
