  1. Welcome to 2B Meet and Greet Ms. Perez

  2. Welcome to 2nd Grade • Thank you students and parents for attending this years Meet and Greet. I am so excited that you are here today. I look forward to speaking with you today and working with you in the future! Please feel free to explore our classroom, find your child’s desk, and ask any questions you may have.

  3. Teacher Expectations • Teach based upon the curriculum chosen by BGCS administration and Wisconsin State Education Standards. • Provide guidance and support to students and parents to reach a common goal of student grade completion success. • Motivate, engage, and provide strategies to your child to encourage them to enjoy what they are learning and to become life long learners.

  4. Student Expectations • Students are expected to arrive on time and ready to express a positive attitude • Students will do their best • Students will be respectful of all teachers and peers • Students will follow school and classroom rules • Students will respect school and other students property

  5. Classroom Rules • Be a good listener and follow directions • Clean up after yourself • Be a good friend • Be respectful of all those around you • Share • Take pride in your work and do your best

  6. Wednesday Folder • Every Wednesday your child will bring home a red folder that has been provided to them by the school. Please review all materials in the folder! This is how BGCS communicates important information to our parents. You will also receive your child’s completed work through this means of communication. Please sign in the appropriate spot on the cover sheet and send the folder back to school with your child on Thursday.

  7. Homework • Now that your son or daughter is in second grade they will be receiving more homework. I will discuss and explain all homework assignments with your child. All students will utilize a homework folder that he or she will use to bring homework back and forth to school. Students will also be provided an assignment notebook to note all assignments. If assignments are not returned on the due date your child will receive a zero. If your child is unable to complete an assignment due to a unforeseen event, please contact me as soon as possible so that we can devise a plan to get him/her caught up.

  8. Weekly Reflection • In an effort to keep all parents informed about their child’s behavior at school I will be sending a weekly reflection home for your review. Please sign it on Friday and send it back to school on Monday.

  9. Upcoming Events/News • August 29th- First Day of School • September 5th- No School-Labor Day • October 4th- ASAP Begin
