What about language? • The language is very simple. • There are not long sentences and moreover, most of the times, there are only two, three words altogether. • The emphasis recalls the one of the northern people. • Also the jokes, the puns are typically Nordic. • The words “trottolino peloso” recalls to a famous song where you can hear “trottolino amoroso”: it may be funny but it especially remains stick on listener’s mind. What about music? • The song of the spot is called “Little talks” of Monsters and Men. • It is a very famous song, the new hit of that time. • It is catchy, it makes you sing and it remains stick on listener’s mind. • The song, apart having these characteristics, has its significant role in the spot also for the meaning of its title (=poche chiacchiere). • It is also important the bear’s voice: he is voiced by Diego Abatantuono (a celebrity who may have influence over people).   7. What about images? • The predominant color is red: it is the color of the company. Why? Because it is a warm and intense color, it indicates the passion of Vodafone, the one for people. • Moreover, the red color draws the listener’s attention and it remains stick on their mind. • The spot is set in piazza del Popolo in Ascoli Piceno, a famous place. • There are some winter elements: the skating rink, the Christmas atmosphere and decorations, the red color. The protagonist is a funny and sociable bear (in contrast with the previous ones, where the protagonists were very famous people). • His acrobatics on ice draw the attention to him and divert the listener’s attention from the words he says. Conclusion • The bear, thanks to his attitudes, easily convinces you that the promotion is advantageous. • Indeed, the option in misleading because it does not say all the truth (in fact the minutes are not 250 real minutes, the promotion is valid only if you switch to Vodafone and after two years the costs increases).
