  2. What? • An eco-friendly house is a house that doesn’t harm the environment. Eco-homes use renewable energy sources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, and geothermal heat.

  5. Solar Panels • Solar panels use the sunlight which is a renewable energy source. • Most electricity is made from burning fossil fuels which releases green house gases into the atmosphere.

  6. Rain water tanks Rain water can be used to water plants and saves energy of refining tape water. This could be used for watering plants, flushing toilets and washing cars. Having rainwater tanks saves all of the waste material: concrete, pipes and power tools from making damns and reservoir.

  7. Composting Bins • Fertilizer for plants • Composting can save money and you aren’t buying factory made Fertilizer • Factory made fertilizer uses Chemicals which helps the plants Grow but is bad for the environment

  8. Layering Walls • The air between the walls severe as insulation for heat and cold. This can save money and energy from using the heater or air-conditioned

  9. Double glaze windows • Double glaze windows has a vacuum in-between them. Vacuums are spaces that contains no particles, this means that you wont lose heat or cool air particles through the window. Save money and energy.

  10. Compact fluorescent bulbs Uses 70-75% less energy than standard bulbs Lasts up to ten times longer Normal bulbs aren't very reliable and waste energy a lot more energy.

  11. Motion sensors for outdoor lighting • Outdoor lights left on all night can waste a lot of energy and disturb wildlife.

  12. Shape of house • The overall shape of the house should be dome like. This is good because the air circulates better thus wasting less energy and is better insulation.
