  1. Numeric Functions Purpose:- SIN returns the sine of n (an angle expressed in radians). This function takes as an argument any numeric datatype or any nonnumeric datatype that can be implicitly converted to a numeric datatype. If the argument is BINARY_FLOAT, then the function returns BINARY_DOUBLE. Otherwise the function returns the same numeric datatype as the argument. ExamplesThe following example returns the sine of 30 degrees: SELECT SIN(30 * 3.14159265359/180) "Sine of 30 degrees" FROM DUAL; Sine of 30 degrees ------------------ .5

  2. Sin:- Purpose:- COS returns the cosine of n (an angle expressed in radians). • Examples:-The following example returns the cosine of 180 degrees: SELECT COS(180 * 3.14159265359/180) "Cosine of 180 degrees" FROM DUAL; • Cosine of 180 degrees --------------------- -1

  3. Floor:- Purpose:- This function takes as an argument any numeric datatype or any nonnumeric datatype that can be implicitly converted to a numeric datatype. The function returns the same datatype as the numeric datatype of the argument. Examples:-The following example returns the largest integer equal to or less than 15.7: • SELECT FLOOR(15.7) "Floor" FROM DUAL; Floor ---------- 15
