Load Measurement in Bone-Anchored Transfemoral Prostheses: A Pilot Study

This study investigates the load applied to bone-anchored prostheses for individuals with transfemoral amputations. It compares two types of prostheses: a mechanical prosthesis featuring C-Leg and C-Walk foot components, and a microprocessor-controlled prosthesis with Total Knee and Total Shock systems. The research utilizes a transducer to accurately measure loads during various activities, contributing valuable insights into prosthetic performance. The results aim to enhance the design and functionality of prosthetics, improving quality of life for amputees.
