During the Second World War, Picasso resided in Paris when the Germans occupied the city. The Nazis hated his style of painting, so he was not able to show his works during this time.
In his lifetime, he produced around 13,500 paintings, 100,000 prints and engravings, 34,000 book illustrations and 300 sculptures.

Synthetic Cubism • developed by Picasso between 1912 and 1919. • It was seen as the first time that collage had been made as a fine art.
