  1. 2/3 of all Americans are touched by addiction • 50% of all US marriages end in divorce • Porn is a multi-billion dollar industry world wide • About 38,000 Americans commit suicide in each year Think About It

  2. There are 20 million untreated addicted Americans • There are 23 million Americans in long term recovery !!! The World Needs CR Now

  3. CHRIST is the one and only higher power • We have a set curriculum and Bible. • We require leadership training • We have gender specific groups - Always • We have the 5 Group Guidelines • We are accountable to Christ, our Church, and the model of CR from Saddleback. What sets CR apart from other 12 Step groups?

  4. No children in Open Share Group - especially babies. • No Phones! • No Food! • Have a plan in place for “Under the Influence” Meltdowns, Suicide Threats, Safety Issues, Obvious Mental Health Conditions Be Proactive about Quality

  5. Open Share Group Leaders • Recovery from – hurt, habit, hang up they are facilitating • 1 year recovery • Leadership training • 12 step completion. Recommended for Effective Meetings

  6. Teacher: 1 year of recovery, knows Bible, has time to prepare • Must at least do acrostic • A lot of CR lessons are on YouTube • Balance – sermon vs lesson (know your audience) • Not everyone can teach • Find and use your gifted communicators Lessons

  7. Give them a little time to get settled in • Have Sign up for Name Tag • Have a variety of jobs • Rotate – don’t burn people out • Encourage people to use their gifts Volunteers

  8. Do you have trained and dedicated volunteers? • Do back ground checks. • Don’t’ do it if you don’t have enough resources. Children’s Program

  9. Assess your meeting quality • Meeting • Small Groups • Step Studies • Make yourself known in the community • Website • Bulletin Inserts • Testimonies • Pray Low attendance

  10. 13th Step • Court Proof Cards (when is a meeting a meeting) • Funding & Financial Accountability • Support (church, ministry etc) • Fund raising, grants • Collections General Issues
