  1. SSYRA 2013 - 2014

  2. When Teddy Matthews moves to Richmond, WA, he knows something is wrong. Every kid he meets seems to disappear before his eyes. As Teddy investigates, he finds all signs lead to a giant sycamore tree that is horribly mutilated by nuclear waste. The tree hungers for the life source of young boys, and now that Teddy is in town, it has found its next victim.

  3. Beatrix (or Trix) is tough. She can deal with being a charity case at a snobbish boarding school. But can she handle her life changing forever? The Circus Galacticus has come to town, and the young ringmaster has invited Trix aboard. Soon she discovers an entire universe of deadly enemies and potential friends, and Trix just might unravel the secrets of her own past-if she can survive that long.

  4. The difficult star of the reality television show, “Expedition Survival,” disappears on location in the Florida Everglades, where they were filming animals from the wildlife refuge run by Wahoo Crane’s family, and Wahoo and classmate Tuna Gordon set out to find him, but they must avoid Tuna’s gun-happy father.

  5. Sixteen-year-old Callie, having lost every family member besides her little brother when a genocide spore killed all of those who were not vaccinated, thinks she has found a way to support them by renting her body to seniors who want to be young again, but after a neurochip malfunction results in her being stuck in the life of her rich renter, she uncovers the horrible plan of her boss and must race against time to stop it.

  6. Carley uses humor and street smarts to keep her emotional walls high and thick. But the day she becomes a foster child, and moves in with the Murphys, she's blindsided. This loving, bustling family shows Carley the stable family life she never thought existed, and she feels like an alien in their cookie-cutter-perfect household. Despite her resistance, the Murphys eventually show her what it feels like to belong--until her mother wants her back and Carley has to decide where and how to live. She's not really a Murphy, but the gifts they've given her have opened up a new future.

  7. Cinder, a gifted mechanic and a cyborg with a mysterious past, is blamed by her stepmother for her stepsister's illness while a deadly plague decimates the population of New Beijing, but when Cinder's life gets intertwined with Prince Kai's, she finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle as a ruthless lunar queen watches, waiting to make her move.

  8. Twelve-year-old Milo is dealing with a lot of beginnings. It's the start of the school year and he's in a new house (number five in his life so far), a new neighborhood (with a crazy lady across the street), and a new school (seventh grade, in a junior high, no less). Then there's his evolving crush on popular girl Summer Goodman and new friendships with girl-next-door Hillary Alpert and fellow nerd Marshall Hickler. Most of all, Milo's beginning to deal with an ending: the death of his mother a few years earlier.

  9. Entering 7th grade is no big deal for Marley Sandelski: Same old boring classes, same old boring life. The only thing he has to look forward to is the upcoming Star Trek convention. But when he inadvertently wins a race and draws the attention of Digger Ronster, the biggest bully in school, his life has officially moved from boring to far too dramatic . . . from invisible to center stage.

  10. Eighth-grader Molly's ability to throw a knuckleball earns her a spot on the baseball team, which not only helps her feel connected to her recently deceased father, who loved baseball, it helps in other aspects of her life, as well.

  11. In a discontented kingdom, civil war is brewing. To unify the divided people, Conner, a nobleman of the court, devises a cunning plan to find an impersonator of the king's long-lost son and install him as a puppet prince. Four orphans are recruited to compete for the role, including a defiant boy named Sage. Sage knows that Conner's motives are more than questionable, yet his life balances on a sword's point -- he must be chosen to play the prince or he will certainly be killed. But Sage's rivals have their own agendas as well.

  12. Fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem. From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias's death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.

  13. Twelve-year-old Thaddeus A. Ledbetter, who considers it a duty to share his knowledge and talent with others, refutes each of the charges which have sent him to "In-School Suspension" for the remainder of seventh grade. Fourteen-year-old Doug Swieteck faces many challenges, including an abusive father, a brother traumatized by Vietnam, suspicious teachers and police officers, and isolation, but when he meets a girl known as Lil Spicer, he develops a close relationship with her and finds a safe place at the local library.

  14. While staying with distant relatives in England in order to escape a deadly virus in the US, Americans Rowan, Meg, Silly, and James Morgan, with their neighbors Dickie Rhys and Finn Fachan, learn that their Aunt’s estate, called The Rookery, is more than just a country farm. When they defy the house rules and sneak out at night, they witness The Fairy Court, and one of them is chosen to fight to the death in the Midsummer War required by the local fairies.

  15. August Pullman was born with a facial deformity that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid--but his new classmates can't get past Auggie's extraordinary face.
