  5. 2. Investigation process In this survey, we designed the questionnaire in South China Normal University according to the theme that which factors our fellow students care when choosing a job. First, we designed seven topics which included the eight factors of HRM so that we finished making the questionnaire by using the “Questionnaire Star”.

  6. Second, after doing this, we choose the suitable people to finish the questionnaire (We went to different grades to ask them their regions and seniority, if he/she meet the standard, we would ask him/her to do the questionnaire, if not, we would find another. This could make our questionnaire more scientific. The last, we analyze the statistics from the “Questionnaire Star” to get what we need.

  7. 3.Analysis of the questionnaire 3.1.In our research, we investigate on 40 students in the South China Normal University. And we find 45% of them think opportunities of promotion is the most important factor to their future job, while 36% think it is base pay and 10% think it is job security.

  8. 3.2.In our research, we inquire 40 students in the South China Normal University (50% male, 50% female). We find most of male students think highly of opportunities of promotion, and most of female students take base pay more seriously. We think it is because males will have more ambition about their future while females prefer to stable life.

  9. 3.3. We inquire every grade’s students, and we find there is something different from each grade. Consequently, the freshmen(大一)and seniors (大四) think highly of base pay, but the sophomores (大二) and juniors (大三) think more highly of opportunities of promotion.

  10. 3.4.We inquire students’ household registration, and we find that students with city residence and rural registered permanent residence boththink more highly of opportunities of promotion and base wage. And students with rural registered permanent residence take on-the job supervision into account.

  11. 4. Summary According to our campus-wide survey, what we can know are as follows. 1.Most students think opportunities of promotion and base pay are the most important factor to their future job. But more male students think highly of opportunities of promotion than the female . 2.The freshmen(大一)and seniors (大四) care base pay, while the sophomores (大二) and juniors (大三) value opportunities of promotion. 3. Urban and rural students both care opportunities of promotion. Urban backgrounds and rural backgrounds have little impact on students’ concern when choosing a job. 4.As for the base pay, male's desire is higher than female's.
