TADDM • Tivoli Application Dependency Discovery Manager • http://www-01.ibm.com/software/tivoli/products/taddm/ • Application Dependencies – Discovers applications running on a system and what other systems it connects to locally or over the network • Configuration Management of Applications – monitors changes in application configuration

  8. TADDM • Tivoli Application Dependency Discovery Manager • Some Network Dependencies – will discover some network devices and integrate that into the dependency diagrams • Can be used to generate the model information for TBSM

TADDM • Works by SSH into a system and discovering network based applications using ‘lsof’ • Then builds a diagram based on that information! • You then take applications it discovers and group them into Business Applications – App / DB / Servers – all the components that make up an application. • Then group Applications into a Service
