Aphrodite~God of Love & Beauty • Her Roman name is Venus. • She has no parents, but she has a husband named Hephaestus and 7 kids named Eros, Deimos, Phobos, Harmonia, Hermaphroditus, Eryx (a Sicilian king), and Aeneas. • She has the power to make people fall in love. • Her symbol is her girdle because it makes people fall in love. • Hera told her she has to marry right away so the gods made suits and presented gifts. When it was her husbands turn all he said was, “I would make a good husband for a girl like you. I work late.”
Zeus~King of The Gods & God of The Sky • His Roman name is Jupiter. • Hs mother is Rhea and his father is Cronus. His wife is Hera. He has too many kids, but here are some~Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Eros, Ares, Hercules, Helen, and Hebe. • His weapon is the thunderbolt which is also his symbol and power. • He was the youngest son of Cronus and Rhea.
Hera~God of Marriage • Her Roman name is Juno. • Her father is Cronus and her mother is Rhea. Her husband is Zeus and her child is Hephaestus. • Her symbol is the peacock. • She has no weapon or powers. • She hated the hero Heracles since he was the son of her husband, Zeus, and a mortal women. When he was still an infant, she sent snakes to attack him in his crib.
Poseidon~God of The Sea • His roman name is Neptune. • His weapon was a trident which is also his symbol. • His mother is Rhea and father is Cronus. His wife, Amphitrite, and him have a child named Triton. • He had the power to make earthquakes and control the weather. • He is the creator of he horse.
