Future Provisional Programme • Oct 20th - Getting started and reviewing the Basics • Nov 17th - Live research Session in small groups • Dec 15th - Talk by Frances Houghton: Research into “Anne Hughes diary” plus Q & A’s • Jan 19th - Live research Session in small groups • Feb 16th - Talk on “Family Historian” and associate databases • Mar 16th - Janice Jackson on “The Bible she was left” • Apr 20th - Live research Session in small groups • May 18th - Pat Hase on “What can I believe” • Jun 17th - Talk byAnna Thorn • Jul 20th - Live research Session in small groups • Aug - No Meeting

Comment from Members • At the last meeting Janice Jackson was asked to find someone by the unusual name of Bilyard. In the afternoon she looked again & found someone had put the tree on Ancestry. • Frances Houghton had a similar issue with an Australian lady, but we don't know if she was just visiting or living here. • Attaching photos to a diagram: pros and cons of embedding versus linking. If linking, how best to keep photos and GED file together? • Sending diagram to be printed:  Where, how  and in what format (what does it cost)? • Splitting a branch from the Family Tree (if time permits)

  19. Answering the Questions- Splitting off a Branch from the Family Tree • Splitting off a Branch from the Tree is relatively easy. It enables one to send data on one area of the family without having to send the whole tree. • Care must be taken when splitting a branch from the tree. If you inadvertently save the branch with the original family name, you will lose the tree data.
