Introduction • Vicon Energy (Ghana) Ltd is an energy management company who provide customised solutions to companies with high energy bills. • This slideshow will take around 3 minutes to play through. • We will give you a few tips to help you take the first step to making savings on your energy bills.

  3. For this session you will need: • A Recent electricity bill • A Pen • A calculator

  6. Review your bills (1) • Make a note of the Power Factor • Ideally the power factor should be around .98 – 1 • If your power factor is below then you may benefit from one of our energy savings products. • Call us today to arrange a site visit. 0302959055

  7. Review your bills (2) • Make a note of the Maximum Demand and the charge rate. • If you have a low power factor then your maximum demand will be higher than it should be. • You will be charged for energy you are not really utilizing.

Review your bills (3) • Calculate your annual power factor surcharge… • If it is more than 8,000 GHC a year we can certainly help to wipe off this amount and make even more savings. • To verify your potential savings we will need to conduct a site survey. • For a free savings analysis, email a copy of a recent bill to billanalysis@viconconsultancy.comor send us the following readings from your bill: • Power Factor Reading • Maximum Demand • Power Factor Surcharge (If any) • Charge Rate • We will do the rest…

  9. Bill Analysis • 1. Ideally your power factor should be around .98 - 1. If your power factor is below then you will benefit from one of our energy savings products. • 2. If you have a low power factor then your maximum demand will be higher than it should be, hence you will be charged for energy you are not really utilizing. • 3. If both of the above are apparent then you may notice a surcharge on your bill, which can be wiped off, if an energy savings device is purchased to offset these charges.
