THE WEEKLY JOURNAL IS AN ACCURATE RECORD OF WHAT YOU HAVE DONE IN CLASS EVERY DAY. • THE WEEKLY JOURNAL IS WORTH BETWEEN 5-10% OF YOUR FINAL MARK. • NOT DOING THE WEEKLY JOURNAL SHEET WILL CAUSE YOU TO LOSE 5-10% OF YOUR FINAL MARK. • THE WEEKLY JOURNAL IS A PREPARATION FOR THE WORLD OF WORK WHERE YOU MAY BE REQUIRED TO ACCOUNT FOR THE WORK YOU HAVE DONE IN ORDER TO COLLECT AN ACCURATE PAYCHEQUE. • IT IS BEST IF YOU TAKE A COUPLE MINUTES AT THE END OF THE PERIOD TO COMPLETE THE JOURNAL FOR THAT DAY.

  3. THE MORE DETAILS YOU GIVE EACH DAY WILL RESULT IN A HIGHER MARK: -an entry: ‘DID WORK’ will earn you a ‘2’. -an entry: ‘DID FRONT BRAKE, JOB #3 WITH JIMMY, USED ½ “ WRENCH AND RATCHET. HELPED MARY WITH HER JOB. DID MY CLEAN-UP JOB SWEEP FLOOR. TALKED WITH SAM FOR LAST FIVE MINUTES OF CLASS” will earn you an ‘8 or 9’. • EACH DAY’S ENTRY IS OUT OF ’10’. • IF YOU ARE AWAY, DO NOT LEAVE THAT DAY BLANK. GIVE SOME INFORMATION, BUT DON’T GET TOO PERSONAL.

  4. WRITE NEATLY. IF I CAN’T READ IT, I CAN’T MARK IT!! • JOURNAL SHEETS ARE HANDED OUT ON MONDAY AND COLLECTED ON FRIDAY. • IF YOU ARE ABSENT ON MONDAY, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO GET A SHEET. THEY ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE IN THE RACKS UNDER THE CHALKBOARD. • IF YOU ARE AWAY ON FRIDAY, YOU MAY HAND THE SHEET IN ON THE FOLLOWING MONDAY. • JOURNAL SHEETS MORE THAN TWO WEEKS OLD WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
