  2. There are plate anchor bolts that are available with different kinds of metal plating; among them cadmium plated bolts are highly preferred for a wide swathe of industrial applications. Cadmium plating offers a whole host of advantages that makes them ideal for automotive, airline and electronics industries.

  3. Application: Those companies which are engaged in manufacturing plate anchor bolts apply cadmium plating on the fasteners in thin layers. The coating might vary in thickness and based on the thickness these bolts are chosen for different industries. To achieve the wear protection some industries require only the bolts with a minimum amount of plating.

  4. Corrosion resistance: In general cadmium plating can be done on any metal to make it resistant to corrosion. Thus cadmium plated bolts are highly suitable for machines that operate in corrosive environments. This is the reason why airlines, military and aerospace industries prefer cadmium plated bolts.
