  3. As the oldest university in the English-speaking world, Oxford is a unique and historic institution. There is no clear date of foundation, but teaching existed at Oxford in some form in 1096 and developed rapidly from 1167, when Henry II banned English students from attending the University of Paris. About the Course • This 12-day intensive program focuses on the multi-dimensional aspects of global strategy and trade. • The course will cover a wide variety of topics: - Industry globalization and the international product life cycle; the unconventional tactics of global challengers  - Creating competitive advantage: Dimensions of global strategy formulation - Standardize or tailor? About the Overall Program Learning Experience • The program includes guest lectures, field trips to local firms, and a variety of cultural and social events in Oxford. • It is organized by the Peter F. Course Costs • Students wishing to participate in the Summer 2008 course need to be prepared to assume the following additional costs (in addition to the appropriate tuition costs): - Travel to and from Oxford (each student is responsible for making individual travel arrangements) - An all-inclusive fee of $ 2950 ($2514 for EMP students) covering room, board and special events while at Oxford.
