  1. The Concept of Fantasy Football By Eric VanRemortel

  2. What is Fantasy Football? Fantasy Football is a game where you can create your own football team and compete with other owners such as yourself based on your team’s statistics from week to week.

  3. Starting Fantasy Football • Find some friends to play with you. • Develop a draft with your friends. • Develop a schedule for the whole season. • Develop a scoring system to score your weekly play. Here are the ways to start your own league.

  4. Draft Method The easiest way to create a draft is to simply draw numbers out of a hat and determine the draft order. Of course the number one pick is the best. Then simply pick players to fill the positions of the roster.

  5. Quarterback Scoring System • 1 point per 25 yards passing • 4 points per passing touchdown • 6 points per rushing touchdown • 1 point per 10 yards rushing

  6. Running Back Scoring System • 1 point per 10 yards rushing • 1 point per 10 yards receiving • 6 points per rushing touchdown • 6 points per receiving touchdown

  7. Wide Receiver and Tight End Scoring System • 1 point per 10 yards receiving • 6 points per receiving touchdown

  8. Kicker Scoring System • 3 points per field goal • 1 point per extra point

  9. Simulated Week Lets say you draft all Green Bay Packer players and your friend drafts all St. Louis Rams players and you play each other the first week. (An easy way to keep score is in a spreadsheet. Example: Simulated Week )

  10. Scoring System A real easy way to keep score from week to week is to use a spreadsheet. Below I have a spreadsheet made up so all you have to do is enter the statistics, and the formulas will take care of the rest! (Click below) Scoring System

  11. Where can you find statistics? Finding statistics to the players is simple. A couple of websites below will show every statistic to fill in your numbers for your players. NFL.com ESPN.com

  12. Cheat Sheets Cheat sheets are real handy and are made up by football experts. Cheat sheets list the players you should draft first and so on. Many cheat sheets are available on the Internet. There are also cheat sheets in football magazines. Cheat sheets can help a great deal because the draft is the most important part of fantasy football.

  13. Conclusion to Power Point Presentation Fantasy football is a fun game that includes a lot of strategy. This game can produce various math skills. Using weekly totals and formulas for scoring improves math skills and gives people fun ways to use math. This game is not only limited to football, but can be played with all sports.
