Mr. K. Shanmugam was educated at Raffles Institution from 1972 to 1977, then studied law at the National University of Singapore (NUS), graduating with First Class Honours in 1984. He became an Advocate & Solicitor in Singapore in 1985. Dr. Yaacob Ibrahim, originally a structural engineer at Bylander Meinhardt Partnership, pursued a PhD at Stanford University and later worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Cornell University. He now serves as an associate professor at NUS, currently on a leave of absence.

  1. Mr K Shanmugam was educated at Raffles Institution from 1972 to 1977. He then read law at the NationalUniversity of Singapore (NUS), where he graduated at the top of his class with First Class Honours, in 1984. He was admitted to the Singapore Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor in 1985.

  2. Dr Yaacob Ibrahim was a structural engineer at BylanderMeinhardt Partnership before receiving a scholarship to pursue a PhD at Stanford University (US). He then worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Cornell University (US) before returning to Singapore to join the National University of Singapore. He is currently on leave of absence from the university as an associate professor.
