Sublimation printing is an advanced printing process in which a specially prepared transfer paper (containing ink) is used to print the design onto a fabric. The ink does not soak into the fabric, but rather stays on the surface of the fabric like a stencil. The heat press applies pressure and heat to transfer the image from the paper to the garment.
