Trivedi Effect - Impact of Biofield Treatment on Growth and Yield of Lettuce and Tomato

Recent studies report the effect of biofield treatment on changes in structural characteristics of organic and inorganic matter, on cancer cells in vitro and on overall plant development. This study tested the impact of the same treatment applied to lettuce and tomato seeds and transplants (Lactuca sativa var. capitata and Lycopersiconesculentum var. Roma) in commercial plantings with and without fertilizers and pesticides, in relation to yield, quality, and pest inhibition. Treated lettuce plants with fertilizer and pesticide applications were more vigorous, exhibited less incidence of soil-borne fungal wilt, and subsequent yield was statistically greater 43% compared to untreated plants. Treated plants with no fertilizer or pesticide applications in the field behaved similarly to untreated plants that received routine fertilizer and pest control inputs. Similarly, fertilizer applied and fertilizer non-applied treated tomato plants exhibited a 25% and 31% increase in total observable yields respectively. Treated tomato and lettuce plants also measured higher in total leaf tissue chlorophyll content. The combination of biofield treatment along with administration of chemical additives demonstrated the best results with statistically increased yields and higher pest resistance in both test cropping systems. L) and weed growth at College of Agriculture, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad. Data revealed that among herbicides pendimethalin 1350.5(g a.i/ha) and imazethepyr 87.50 (g a.i/ha) gave season long weed control and effectively checked the weed density. All herbicides increased leaf dry matter, stem dry matter and total dry matter.

An experiment to know the effect of fertigation on growth, yield and quality of Okra.Var. COBhH 1 was carried out during the year 2011 to 2013 at the Department of Vegetable Crops, Horticultural College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. The results revealed that okra raised bed drip irrigation plastic mulch fertigation foliar spray of WSF 19 19 19 @ 10 g lit. 5 times Mixture of all micronutrients T1 recorded the days to 50 early flowering 43.7days , highest plant height 175.4cm , fruit length 13.8cm , fruit girth 6.48 cm , No. of fruits plant 25.0 , fruit yield plant 0.466 kg , fruit yield hectare 201.2.0 q and economic returns 1.89 when compared to farmers practice T6 which recorded 155.4 q ha. Therefore T1 raised bed drip irrigation plastic mulch fertigation foliar spray of WSF 19 19 19 @ 10 g lit. 5 times mixture of all micronutrients can be recommended for getting increased growth, flowering and the highest yield for okra under kharif cultivation. Effect of Foliar Application of Micronutrients on Growth, Yield and Quality of Tomato

A field experiment was carried out to study the response of tomato to foliar application of micronutrients from 2011 to 2014 at the Department of Vegetable Crops, Horticultural College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. The hybrid COTH 2 was chosen for this study. The results based on three years mean revealed that out of fourteen different treatments, Different combinations of all the micronutrients were applied in three replications. The pooled analysis revealed that among the different combinations In tomato hybrid COTH 2, spraying of mixture of all micronutrients Boric acid @100 ppm, ZnSo4 @ 100 ppm , Ammonium molybdate @ 50 ppm. Copper sulphate @ 100 ppm, Ferrussulphate @ 100 ppm, Manganese sulphate @ 100 ppm 3 sprays at an interval of 40 days from DAP recorded the highest plant height 95.7cm , number of fruits per plant 46.4 fruit weight 61.9g , fruit yield per plot 63.5kg and highest yield of 564.1 q ha followed by spraying of commercial formulation Multiplex 558.8 q ha . Comparative study on effect of different substrates on yield performance of oyster mushroom

The research was carried out at Mushroom house, Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Paklihawa, Bhairahawa during January to March 2015. The objective of the study was to determine the effect of different substrates on the performance of Oyster Mushroom (Pleurotus sajor caju). Various substrates as treatment, selected for the cultivation of oyster mushroom were rice straw (T1), wheat straw (T2), banana leaves (T3) and sugarcane bagasse (T4) each of 4.5 kg and replicated for 4 times. The experimental design used was single factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The highest yield (1515 gm) with highest stipe length (4.86 cm) and cap diameter (5.14 cm) was obtained from the rice straw followed by other substrates. The colonization duration (19 days) was lower for wheat straw and banana leaves while fruiting duration (20.5 days) was lower in case of wheat straw. The analysis showed that mushroom production was best suitable in terms of economic return from the rice straw than other agricultural residues with B-C ratio of 3.498.

Performance Evaluation of the Effect of pH and Temperature on the Biogas Yield of Co Digestion of Pig Manure and Water H

In this research work, the effect of pH and temperature on the biogas yield of co digestion of Pig manure and water hyacinth were investigated experimentally in laboratory scale anaerobic bioreactors. The co digestion was run for a Hydraulic Retention Time thirty six days. The volumetric yield of biogas was noted once there is biogas build up at regular intervals using water displacement method. A total of ten evacuations were made and the data obtained was used to evaluate the effect of the aforementioned anaerobic digestion parameters. The experimental results revealed that a neutral pH value of 7 yielded optimum biogas yields compared to a pH value above and below 7. Moreover, from all the experimental mesophilic temperature used in this research work, an optimum mesophilic temperature of 37 oC favoured the optimum biogas yield.
