BACKGROUND • Designed for DANIDA Pilot Study on Inclusive Education: Estcourt, KZN, 1999. • Used and adapted for Inclusive Education Project by REHAB: East London, 2003. • 50 boxes ordered by prov. KZN Dept Education for PGSES district offices, 2004. • 25 boxes ordered by a rural district, KZN Dept Education for schools, 2004. • One-day training workshop held for KZN district education managers, 2005.

AIM OF RESOURCE BOXES • Provide information on: • barriers to learning & how to address these barriers • available resources to support children & educators in promoting inclusion, e.g. • Accessibility to the Built Environment • Assistive Devices • Interviewing & Counseling • Resource Centres • Success Stories.
