  1. Green means GROWTH Green Giant Thujas

  2. ABOUT Thuja Green Giant trees are tough, evergreens with exceptional annual growth and year-round, rich green leaves. The Green Giant Arborvitae, also known as the Thuja Green Giant, is a hardy tree that can provide year-round color and good privacy. This swiftly growing evergreen can build a stylish wall dividing you and your neighbors in a matter of years.

  3. Appearance In every way, Thuja Green Giant stands up to its name. Until they reach maturity, these trees can grow up to 3 feet every year under ideal conditions. Their maximum height and width are 50–60 feet and 12–20 feet, respectively. Thuja Green Giants grow in a symmetrical, columnar shape without the need for shearing or trimming.

  4. Characteristics Green Giant Thuja In order to establish a dense hedge, trees can be planted in groups or as "specimen" trees, which are single plants used to highlight a yard. To create a natural fence that will keep out neighbors, traffic, and unsightly views, plant one every 5 to 6 feet. It is also possible to utilize two rows of trees spaced 10 feet apart to help reduce noise. This big living windbreak also doubles as a screen for privacy.

  5. Optimal Hardiness Zones The places where plants thrive are indicated by the USDA Hardiness Zones. There are 11 growth zones altogether, and every winter one of them is 10 degrees Fahrenheit colder or warmer than the other. These tools allow gardeners to select the best plants for their area. Thuja Green Giants thrive in Hardiness Zones 5 to 9, particularly in the Southeastern states. They perform well in Hardiness Zones 6 to 8 in that area.

  6. Sun And Shade Due to its great adaptability, Thuja Green Giants may flourish in both full sun and partial shade. For these trees, a minimum of four hours of unfiltered direct sunlight per day is advised.

  7. SOIL Green Giant Thujas don't have a particular preference when it comes to dirt. They can thrive in a variety of soil textures and easily adapt to heavy clay or sandy garden soils, as well as both alkaline and acidic soils. Although they are sensitive to salt, they shouldn't be grown too close to busy roads.

  8. Watering Thuja Green Giants need consistently moist soil to grow, however, it's crucial to avoid flooding the area. Thuja Green Giants require irregular, 1-inch deep waterings every week. Consider adding a 2-3 inch layer of mulch to the soil to help with moisture retention and to protect the roots from temperature swings.
