  4. Tuesday, March 6 6. Sound devices- techniques used to convey meaning through sound. (Types of sound devices include rhyme, assonance, consonance, alliteration, and onomatopoeia). 7. Alliteration- is the repetition of similar sounds at the beginnings of words. 8. Assonance- Repetition of a vowel sound in a series of words. 9. Consonance- repetition of consonant sounds in a series of words.
