  2. Deconstructing Lessons In order for a goal to be clear and measurable it must have 2 parts: the specific student behavior(to be measured)and the specific(clear) content. Before planning an Organized Lesson, the goal of the lesson must be deconstructed into its 2 parts.

  3. A Clear Measurable Goal Has 2 Parts Content Must focus on the specific content for the lesson or the unit. Behavior Must be student-centered. • How will students demonstrate that they learned the intended outcome? • What should the student be able to do with the content you are going to teach? • The content should not be confused with an activity. • The content should be “chunked” to identify specific concepts, topics, skills, or processes.
