  3. Tier 2 • Get a graduate level job • Earning £20k per year • Before student visa expires • Conditions: • Must have completed a UK degree • Valid for two years • Levels of funds required: £900

  4. Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur • UEA have applied for this scheme • Only be allocated 10 visas for this category • Visa for 1 year (may be extended for a further 12 months, if progress is being made) • At the end of the time can switch into Tier 1 Entrepreneur (need to show £50K as evidence) • Conditions: • Need to show £800 for 3 months • Work for the business • Other employment of no more than 20 hours per week • The leave can be taken away if the University withdraws its support.

  5. Tier 5 – Youth Mobility Scheme • Can work in the UK for up to two years • Only available to certain nationalities, including Australia, Canada, Japan, Monaco, New Zealand, Taiwan and British Nationals Overseas. • Cannot switch within the UK. Need to leave and apply for entry clearance • Must have £1,800 in your bank account on the date you apply. • Must be aged between 18-30 • NB: Places are limited in number and your application will be refused if all the places for a year have already been taken.

  6. Tier 5 – Temporary worker • For those that need to do a period of work to obtain their qualification, for example, pharmacists or teachers. • Level of funds required: £900

  7. Other options • Return to your home country • Go to a third country
