  2. SAMAS DIES IN JULY • Per State of Florida Accounts Payable Devolution Team, use of SAMAS will discontinue on July 1, 2004.

  3. UWF GETS OWN P-CARD • UWF plans to devolve from the State P-Card Program and start its own P-Card Program with the Bank of America.

  4. SAMAS STILL TO START • The P-Card expenditures from the new P-Card program will need to be recorded into SAMAS for the remainder of the fiscal year.

  5. SAMAS TO BANNER • A cross walk is being built between Banner and SAMAS to make entries into SAMAS for the remainder of the Fiscal Year.

  6. Timeline • March, 2004: Existing P-Cards must be turned in. • Bank of America will issue new cards. • All P-Card participants will be notified of the changes to occur.

  7. Timeline contd. . . • March 1, 2004: All reviewers will be trained on how to review charges in the Banner P-Card System; and, new P-Cards will be issued.

  8. SAMAS WINDS DOWN • April 2004: All outstanding P-Card charges remaining in the SAMAS system after March 31, 2004, will be approved by April 30, 2004.

  9. SAMAS ENDS. . . • June 21, 2004: All P-Card modules will be closed. Access to these modules will be removed from the approvers’ SAMAS access.

  10. Reviewers will see a Banner screen similar to the one below.

  11. Requisitions, Purchase Orders, and Banner

  12. PAPER TO START • After July 1, 2004, departments will continue to submit paper requisitions to Procurement & Contracts (P&C)

  13. P & C ENTERS REQUISITIONS • For the first six months P&C will be keying your requisitions into Banner for you. Offering you the best support we can is our goal and in order to achieve that, we must first be experts in Banner use.

  14. TRAINING USERS BEGINS • After the initial six months of P&C entering your requisitions into Banner, training of “power users” will begin; and finally, training of remaining users will begin.
