  9. Ser vs. Estar - Special cases Seris used to describe inherent traits while estar is used with adjectives to describe conditions. Using Ser or Estar will give a different shade of meaning.

  20. SER ESTAR Rico: delicious La comida aquíestárica. The food is delicious! • Rico/a: rich • Nuestrabecaria no esrica. • Our intern isn’t rich.

  21. Practice – use the present tense of ser or estar. Then, translate the sentence to English. La carpeta en el cajón. Paco y Miguel agentesde relacionespúblicas. Nosotrosamericanos.   22. Translate using ser or estar in the present tense. Remember, they can have different meaning with different adjectives. Mary is pretty. Michael is handsome today. Victor and Griffin are smart. We aren’t rich. The coffee is delicious today. The intern is bored. You are boring. Ya’ll are sick.
