Aug 1831…what happened? • Excerpts from  • A bit of Joan of Arc in him • Kills his owner and his family at night • Turner gets about 50 supporters • Kill about 55 whites (men, women and children) • Militia stops Rebellion • Turner caught 2 months later • 55 people executed (gross) • It got worse though…
