HISTORY • SMKN 1 Jakarta is the oldest vocational school in Indonesia. • Founded by A Dutch Government named KoningKlikeWilhemnia School ( KWS) in1906. • The mission for this school/KWS is to prepare Indonesian and Dutch students to be a technician to build A Dutch East Indies • After Proclamation, Indonesian Government changed this school to SekolahTeknikMenengah (STM) or Technical High School • At present STM becomes SMK (SekolahMenengahKejuruan) or Vocational High School

  6. SMKN 1 JAKARTA HAS TWO DIPLOMA PROGRAM: WATER CONSTRUCTION INDONESIAN – DUTCH PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (WITH PT. VAPRO INTERNATIONAL) DIPLOMA NETWORK AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING PARTNERSHIP WITH INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG (ITB)
