Tuesday, Aug 27 • Take out completed Self History Timeline and have it ready to use. • Compare/Contrast Exercise of Self History Timeline with a partner using a Venn Diagram • Share your findings of Venn Diagram • Reading from Textbook • Pp. 6-14, making sure you concentrate on the vocabulary • Answer questions #5 on p. 10, # 6 on p. 14 and have ready to turn in when you get here tomorrow. • Make sure you have a spiral notebook or composition notebook for class notes and discussion.

  3. Wednesday, aug 28 • Get out spiral/notebook for note taking and the questions from yesterdays reading • Begin Neolithic Revolution Notes • Read pages 45-55 in Jarrett Book, completely label the blank map with Continent, oceans, and River Valley Civilizations.

Thursday, aug 29 • Neolithic Revolution DBQ – (10 minutes) • Divide paper into two sections (top/bottom) • Read the excerpt, then write the question and answer. • Answer first question on top half, second question on bottom half • Make sure name and class period are on the top of paper. • Notes/Discussion over Development of River Valley Civilizations • Mesopotamia • Tomorrow: Quiz

Monday, sept 9 • Get a textbook and Guided Reading workbook off of shelf and open to Chapter 4 p. 74 • Empires of India and China 600 BC – AD 550 • Define all vocabulary terms listed at the top of each of the five sections, a total of 22 terms • Use the graphic organizer on pages 28 and 29 in Guided Reading Booklet to read thru Sections 1 and 2 of text and fill in information.. • Unit 1 Test • If you missed Friday, you need to come in tomorrow at 8:05 to take it. • If you made below 70, you need to come to tutorials and put more effort into your class studies

Put everything else you have under your desk • Get your group’s poster and place on your tables, make sure you have written down the answers to your questions on this sheet. • We will rotate through each table in the order of your topics, writing down the answers to the questions on your sheet for that topic. • You will have 6 minutes at each table and then we will rotate to the next table. • These will be turned in at the end of the period as part of your test grade.
