  4. Multi-levelled training • DCPO training • Line manager Policy awareness training – autumn 03 • Keeping Safe Training for staff in regulated posts - ongoing

  5. Multi-levelled training • Staff who have some contact with children eg grounds maintenance, EHOs • Councillors • Leisurewatch

  6. CHILD PROTECTION WORKING GROUP • Inaugural meeting February 2004 • Representatives from all council departments • Minutes to group members and all Assistant Directors • Policies referred to SMT for approval

  7. CHILD PROTECTION WORKING GROUP • Forum to bring queries, suggestions, develop procedures and issues guidance • HR issues – job descriptions references vetting volunteers agency/casual staff

  8. CHILD PROTECTION WORKING GROUP • Third party use of premises • Child supervision levels • Photography guidance • Production of literature

  9. REPORTING PROCEDURES • Employee reports concern to line manager • Reported to DCPO • DCPO records and liases with Social Services • Formal referral made or dealt with internally • Employee updated
